Leroy Gomez - Gypsy Woman

提起Santa Esmeralda，相信大部份在七十年代喜愛的士高歌曲的本地樂迷，都對他們於當年灌唱的暢銷歌曲"Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood"、"You're My Everything”、 "The House Of The Rising Sun"、"Another Cha-Cha"等已很耳熟能詳，但卻可能忽略了樂隊主要成員Leroy Gomez在1978年自行監製的個人大碟《Leroy Gomez - Gypsy Woman》。

這張《Leroy Gomez - Gypsy Woman》大碟內的歌曲風格及編排，基本上和Santa Esmeralda首張推出的大碟《Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood》很類似。那就是把一些舊歌重新編成重重的Disco節拍，及配上了一首柔和的慢板曲於唱片內，例子如"Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood"可匹配"Gypsy Woman"、"Gloria"可匹配"Spanish Harlem"、"You're My Everything"可匹配"Let Me Change Your Mind"等。而在記憶中，"Gypsy Woman"及"Spanish Harlem"當年在本地的士高之受歡迎程度，與"Don't Let Me Misunderstood"是不徨多讓的。
